This quilt was commissioned as a gift for a new baby. I experimented with an alphabet block design. I also used a variation of a commercially available bear pattern to expedite the process. I enjoyed choosing the batiks and hand dyed fabrics as well as adding the eyes and tummies to give these colorful bears more character. The backing is the same stripe as the thin binding echoing the main colors on the front.
